We continue our review of the 2007-08 season…
November
It proved another dull month for Sunderland as the dark winter
months set in for what would be a long haul.
A disappointing, 1-0 defeat at Manchester City was followed up
by a 1-1 draw at home to arch rivals Newcastle, in a typically
heated derby which the Wearsiders should have won.
And then came probably the lowest point of the campaign - a
humiliating, 7-1 drubbing at Everton.
It saw Sunderland end the month in the relegation mire with just
10 points from 14 games - there was still a lot to do for Roy
Keane's men.
