NEWCASTLE United have been told they must table a bid of £13m to land Galatasary midfielder Arda Turan, according to The Northern Echo.
They claim that Galatasary president Adnan Polat would accept an offer of that size tomorrow as he attempts to tackle the club's debts of more than £45m.
Turan, 21, is a left-sided attacking midfielder who is set to star for Turkey at this summer's European Championships.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star says that the Geordies are planning a double swoop for Turan and Stuttgart's German striker Mario Gomez.

Like Turan, Gomez is set to play a major part in his country's Euro 2008 campaign having netted 28 times for his club this season.
They also report that United are still tracking St.Etienne forward Bafetimbi Gomis who was this week included in a provisional France squad for the Euros.
The Sun claims that Newcastle are set to test Glasgow Rangers' determination to hang on to Carlos Cuellar by making a £7m bid for the defender.
The 26-year-old has been a big hit in his debut season in the SPL having signed from Osasuna for £2.3m last summer and was recently voted the league's player of the year.
The same paper says that United are also interested in FC Basel's Eren Derdiyok, the 19-year-old Swiss striker who scored against England at Wembley in February.
And finally, back in the Echo, they claim that the Magpies' interest in Richard Dunne is beginning to wane with Sunderland now emerging as favourites to sign the Man City skipper.
